What is CNC 3-D Prosthesis?

By using the most technologically advanced, dermatologically-tested, non-invasive hair replacement system found anywhere today, this “Second Scalp” that allows people suffering from hair thinning and loss to enjoy a completely custom made full head of beautiful hair. Think Bald is Beautiful…But Not on You?

Hair loss for both men and women is common, affecting more than 75% of men and nearly two-thirds of women at some point in their lifetime.  For many, any degree of hair loss can be a traumatic experience.  This simple truth essentially drives a multi-billion hair loss treatment industry filled with products and treatments claiming to cure hair loss.  Understanding hair growth and accurately measuring and diagnosing the cause of hair loss can take the unknown out of treatment and can curb or delay future hair loss.

It is a normal and healthy part of hair growth to lose some hair each day.  Men with healthy hair shed between 60 and 80 strands each day, while women normally lose up to 100.  But when does it all become too much?  Typically, it takes 50% loss in hair density for hair loss to become noticeable to the naked eye.  As with any medical condition, early detection can be key in effectively treating hair loss.    Once hair loss progresses to a certain point, treatment becomes more difficult and costly in achieving good results.

Creating A Royal Diversion

Stylists all over the world are using specific styling and cutting techniques to hide (or accentuate!) all sorts of features. This skill set is so very important when you are looking for help with hair thinning or loss. This skill is the ability to determine what the perfect style is based on your facial structure. Let’s take a look at an example:

How do you know if your face is square? Take a look at your jaw line and forehead. If you have a ‘square brow’ and your jaw line and your brow are the same width chances are that you have ‘square’ facial features.

Now that we know you have ‘square’ features we can begin to determine how to make your hair look full and thick without any replacement pieces! One of the best ways to create the allusion of a full head of hair for women with a square face is to use volume and structure, much like the picture of Michelle to the right. In order to give Michelle the allusion of thick hair we would want to soften her sharp jaw angle and minimize the shape of her brow. To do this we would frame her face with a soft fringe to make it look more oval, and cut the bulk of her hair to less than 4 inches with layers to add ‘fluff’ to give the illusion of volume. With a few peek-a-boo bangs and layering around the next Michelle’s look is softer, fun and gives her great lift to minimize the insecurity of her hair thinning!

It’s amazing what the right hairstyle and cut can do for your face, or the volume of your hair. And it’s not the same for each face! It’s so important to talk with your hairdresser about the shape of your face and what will work best for you!

Cathy’s Solution for Thinning Hair!

At Jeffrey Paul Salon we know that hair loss is very specific to the individual, their diagnosis, their habits and their lifestyle. Sometimes the solution is not a pill or an extremely invasive procedure but rather taking a strong hard look at your lifestyle.

For example, meet my friend Cathy. Cathy began to notice that her hair was extremely dry and was starting to fall out. At the time her salon told her it was a side affect of the products that she was using, however Cathy was eventually diagnosed with Alopecia. Cathy, like most of us in her situation, began the search for the solution that would solve her problem.

After many different quests, including a trip to a dermatologist for scalp injections, Cathy came in for a consultation at Jeffery Paul Salon.
