A woman’s hair is important to her. It is the frame that brings together all of the elements of her face. Hair has a language all its own. It tells the world whether you’re casual or businesslike, playful or serious. So looking down at her brush, and, for the first time, noticing strands of hair can send a woman into a panic. Immediately, she might wonder, “Am I experiencing hair loss, or merely losing a few strands?”
“How can I appear more confident in my personal or professional life even when I don’t feel it?” – Lauren
Perhaps you’ve seen that woman who passes you on the sidewalk or who sits across from you at the weekly office meeting and you can’t help but think, “Wow, she sure is poised. How can I be so sure of myself like her?” Remember, to portray confidence, you must believe that you’re confident. Here are a few tips to portraying confidence:
Body Language: Confident people sit up straight, walk with their head held high, and aren’t afraid of eye contact.
Speech: When you speak with a purpose and in a relaxed tone, you immediately come off self-assured.
Dress: While confidence comes from the inside, the easiest way to prove it to yourself is to dress in clothing that makes you feel good (no, not sweatpants!). This doesn’t mean flashy is the go-to either. Confidence shouldn’t be mistaken for cockiness.
Now, with these tips, it’s your turn to be that all around confident person that people look at and say, “Now she’s sure of herself!”

Listen to the voice within you. As you think about yourself, what do you hear? You’re fat? Ugly? Old? Your hair is too thin? Or is your inner voice saying:
We all know people so filled with confidence, optimism, and joy of living that they radiate warmth as if lit by an inner sun. It glows from their eyes. It leaps from their smiles. In their presence, we find ourselves straightening our shoulders and smiling back, heartened. This is the gift that they share with us – their inner beauty revealed.
